Here is what I did: 1) Removed calipers and old pads. 2) Sprayed calipers with brake cleaner (not too grungy) 3) Removed the cap on the reservoir. 4) Gently pushed the pistons back in to make room for the new/thicker pads. 5) Installed new pads and remounted calipers. 6) Reinstalled cap on reservoir.

KTM 1190. When I first started to spread the word of me going around the world with my KTM 1190 Adventure in 2015, the feedback I was receiving wasn’t so great. My 2013 KTM 1190 Adventure now intermittently gives an EDS failure which came on during a KTM dealer service. After a hack session by KTM Austria it now has all the damping removed, meaning the front forks and rear shock have almost no movement at all (a bit like locking the forks on a mountain bike for going uphill).

10,145. Location: West of the West, Oregon. All the 1190 ktm are tubeless. Bay area, you need mostly a rough pavement tire. Check out the TKC70's, ok on gravel, great on pavement. Not bad mileage. Easy to change. The new Dumflops are a total bitch to change yourself.
