Maybe relevant: In the past two months it happened twice that car is cranking normally but not starting. No errors are shown on the dash or diagnostics. It would take me 3-4 times in a row to start it. After a successful start, it was all good. So only twice in two months and the car is driven daily. P.S.
I'll add my twopennyworth by condemning the eco mode. My C5 shuts off the CD player at 30 minutes. Also it won't continue until the engine has been running for a while. As others have said, it's a pain in the backside. Leave the side lights on and they'll happily burn for hours. Leave the player on and it closes down at 30 mins.
IT DOES NOT STOP the engine from running!!!! HOWEVER, the engine must run for the car to come out of ECO mode! If the engine fails to start, the car wont come out of ECO mode. But that will be the least of your problems. Unfortunately there are a lot things that could stop the engine from running but ECO mode is not one of them.
