I use both the 85/1.4G and 70-200/2.8 VR II in the studio. The 70-200 is just as good as the 85 stopped down - an amazing lens. But 90% of my shots are taken with the 85 because of its portability. Outside of the studio, the 85 is my go-to lens because of its versatility in low light and ability to create some amazing bokeh at fairly close-up. Mark
